December Lunchtime Jazz: Mark Nightingale

  • The Guildford Institute Ward Street Guildford, England, GU1 4LH United Kingdom (map)

Trombonist Mark Nightingale is an internationally acclaimed jazz soloist, highly respected writer, and one of the UK’s most in demand studio musicians..

The 18 times winner of the British Jazz Awards “Best Trombonist” (yes, that’s 18 times…) Mark includes work with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Henry Mancini, Michel Legrand, Kenny Wheeler & George Shearing on a remarkable cv (and it's Mark's playing you heard on Sting's best-selling album, 'Ten Summoner's Tales').

A terrific, swinging jazz gig!

The lunchtime jazz is held in the Cafe at the Guildford Institute, which boasts a baby grand piano as well as delicious food. Food is served from 12 to 2pm, followed by live jazz performance from 2pm to 3pm
