Celebrate Christmas in style with an evening of world class festive jazz!
Featuring the stars of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, with twice-Nominated Best Jazz Vocalist Polly Gibbons , tenor saxophonist Alex Garnett , and Ronnie Scott’s Artistic Director James Pearson.
POLLY GIBBONS has forged a successful career on the international jazz circuit spanning two decades. Polly has been twice-nominated as “Best Jazz Vocalist” by the BBC and Jazz FM and compared to a female version of Gregory Porter by US magazine Downbeat. While an accomplished jazz artist, Polly’s musical influences as a vocalist and composer began in childhood with roots in blues, soul, gospel and R&B – so much so that The Sunday Times described her jazz vocals as “vintage R&B with shades of Aretha Franklin”. She has performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall opening for George Benson and Gladys Knight, and had a residency at New York’s legendary Birdland Jazz Club and in London she is a regular at Ronnie Scott’s.
“A class act!” ****The Guardian
"a truly exceptional talent, possessing a voice of such sizzling intensity and raw emotion you could fry an egg on it." — Jazzwise
JAMES PEARSON, house pianist at artistic director of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club , is one of the outstanding pianists of his generation, and a creative tour de force. His powerful, swinging playing has been heard in an astonishing variety of settings and his ‘musical portraits’ of pianists Oscar Peterson, George Shearing, Erroll Garner and Dudley Moore, all of whom have influenced James’s own style, are legendary.

A versatile musician and first call sideman, he has enjoyed success as both a jazz artist, composer and arranger, and an in demand session, studio and commercial saxophonist, having racked up countless recording credits along the way.He is a key member of the Ronnie Scott's All Stars and has long-standing ties to the famous Soho jazz club, where he runs the Late Late Show and holds weekly residencies
Also featuring the renowned jazz drummer ,GEORGE DOUBLE, a regular at Ronnie Scott’s and a stalwart of the British Jazz scene. Local jazz anchor Marianne Windham completes the line-up on double bass.
