Midsummer Jazz at Loseley Park returns to celebrate GUTS 40th year! Come rain or shine, this is always a fabulous event – a chance to enjoy some really outstanding musicianship in the relaxed atmosphere of this most beautiful of settings.

Every penny raised at this event supports GUTS, fighting bowel cancer

The musicians in this band have worked together for many years in various sizes of Latin groups including Terry Seabrook’s Cubana Bop and Portuguese band leader Raul D’Oliveira who has worked with the likes of Latin musician Roberto Pla, and many well-known pop artists including Elton John. The band also features saxophonist Josephine Davies , Winner of the 2019 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, and the fantastic Latin drummer Tristan Banks!

Their show includes classics such as Brazil, Mas Que Nada, songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim (Girl from Ipanema, One Note Samba) as well as some originals. Featuring Raul D’Oliveira (trumpet, vocals & percussion), Josephine Davies (sax), Terry Seabrook (piano), Marianne Windham (bass) and Tristan Banks (drums) .

The evening will open with a set of fantastic big band swing from our friends in the wonderful FARNHAM BIG BAND.

Guests are welcome to bring picnics, rugs and chairs and garden gazebos as necessary. The garden kiosk will be open where refreshments, including alcohol, will be available

The address Loseley Park, Guildford GU3 1HS

Directions: take the B3000 New Pond Road and the main entrance is in Stakescorner Road, signposted ‘Loseley House’ on a brown sign. The turning to the Loseley estate is then on the left after a few hundred yards.
