Fusing jazz, funk, bossa nova and hip-hop, Tom Ford originally made his name as a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, working alongside artists like Poppy Ajudha, Col3trane and Reuben James. He appears at the Boileroom in his own quartet with Alex Chase (vocals) Nathan Shingler (drums) Robin Mullarkey (bass).

Having worked as a songwriter and producer for most of his career, multi-instrumentalist Tom Ford is now embarking on a solo career with his name in the foreground.

Coming from a predominantly Hip Hop / Alt Jazz rooted music scene, and having previously written, performed and worked with the likes of Col3trane, Sam Barsh (Kayne West, Kendrick Lemar, ASAP Rocky), Chris Dave, Keynon Harrold, Johannes Klahr (drake), Wayne Hector, Santigold, Nate Fox, Maths Time Joy, Poppy Ajudha, Reuben James, Idris Elba

He released his solo debut EP in October 2021, he has already had tastemakers and music gatekeepers including the likes of Jack Saunders, Mary Anne Hobbs and Jess Izatt showcasing his work on their respective radio shows.

With his second EP out in 2023, listeners can be sure to hear Ford’s signature style, an amalgamation of his writing, producing and performing ventures, all combined to display the long awaited Tom Ford as a solo artist.

Knats, a quartet led by of two lifelong best mates from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Stan Woodward (Bass) and King David Ike Elechi (Drums), making dance music which derives from their respective roots of Jazz, Drum and Bass, House and Gospel. Within their short arrival onto the scene they have already been recognised and broadcasted by major radio stations ’Soho Radio’, BBC Newcastle and WDR 3, play-listed twice by Spotify on their ‘All New Jazz’ playlist, also being on the cover of ‘Jazz Fresh Finds’. Whilst gigging around the North East and the country supporting the likes of Vels Trio and Tom Ford. Knats now operates in London, which they prepare to take by storm.
