WORKSHOP WITH SIMON ALLEN

A Saturday morning jazz improvisation workshop with award winning saxophonist and Head of Jazz at the Purcell School, Simon Allen.

The workshop is open to all horn players (rythmn section places are fully booked, sorry). You should have reasonable technical facility on your instrument and have some experience of improvisation.

10am to 1pm in the Performing Arts Centre, Godalming College

£10 registration fee , we’ll send more details with your booking confirmation.

This event is suitable for over 16s, under 18s to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

WHO'S PLAYING?

Simon Allen is Head of Jazz at Purcell School, formerly National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Royal Academy of Music, Daily Telegraph Young Jazz Musician of the Year, with Stan Tracey’s band for many year and Clark Tracey’s Quintet.

He has also played with artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney.
