An exclusive event for Guildford Jazz Members with special guest Andrew Cleyndert.
Stan Tracey, Ronnie Scott, Gene Harris, James Williams, John Hicks, Kenny Wheeler, Art Farmer, Ted Curson, Stacy Kent, Carol Kidd, Barbara Streisand, Teddy Edwards, Don Weller and Bobby Wellins (to name a few), Andrew Cleynderts’ CV reads like a who’s who of British and US Jazz!
Across a distinguished career spanning four-and-a-half decades, Andy has established himself as one of the UK’s premier jazz bassists. This evening he will be telling stories and relating anecdotes from his formidable playing career giving an inside peek into the history of British Jazz as well as playing some of his favourite tracks and sharing some rarely seen jazz images.
The evening will also include a live performance from Andy, as he is joined by Guildford Jazz founder Marianne Windham for a rare bass duo performance!
The evening will also include an opportunity to view jazz-related art-works from Tony White.
