WHO'S PLAYING?

Terence Collie - piano

Terence Collie, a prodigious talent, embarked on his musical journey at age 12, honing his skills as a self-taught keyboardist before delving deeply into jazz during his formative years in Jersey. Mentored by seasoned musicians, he refined his craft and shared stages with icons like Teddy Edwards and Georgie Fame.

Relocating to mainland UK, Terence secured a prestigious residency at Pizza Express in Cambridge, expanding his repertoire and earning accolades. His passion for jazz-fusion led to the formation of Prison Break, yielding two acclaimed albums showcasing his prowess as a composer and producer.

In 2011, he co-founded Mood Indigo Events, curating unforgettable jazz experiences, including the celebrated TW12 Jazz Festivals. As a sideman, Terence has graced stages with luminaries such as Kyle Eastwood and Jo Harrop, captivating audiences across the UK's premier jazz clubs and festivals.

Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, Terence embraced live-streamed performances and remote collaborations, garnering a substantial following on the Mood Indigo Jazz YouTube Channel. Recent highlights include a triumphant performance at the 2022 Brecon Jazz Festival and the release in 2023 of two lauded albums, "Reminiscent" and "384,400," showcasing his versatility as a soloist and bandleader.
