Celebrating the historic trumpet/saxophone partnerships of jazz!

Think of Miles Davis/John Coltrane, Chet Baker/Gerry Mulligan, Lee Morgan/Joe Henderson, or Clifford Brown/Harold Land, and you see a theme, two lead instruments working as one to create amazing harmony, punchy unison lines and unforgettable jazz improvisation.

Trumpeter Stuart Henderson and award winning saxophonist Karen Sharp join forces to celebrate the music of these fantastic partnerships from the 40s 50s and 60s!

With the swinging rhythm section of the sensational LEON GREENING on piano, Marianne Windham on bass and ALFONSO VITALE on drums

Come rain or shine, this is always a fabulous event! Enjoy outstanding musicianship in the relaxed atmosphere of this most beautiful of settings, raising money for GUTS, fighting bowel cancer.

The evening will open with a set of fantastic big band swing from our friends in the wonderful FARNHAM BIG BAND.

Guests are welcome to bring picnics, rugs and chairs and garden gazebos as necessary. The garden kiosk will be open where refreshments, including alcohol, will be available

DIRECTIONS

The address Loseley Park, Guildford GU3 1HS

Directions: take the B3000 New Pond Road and the main entrance is in Stakescorner Road, signposted ‘Loseley House’ on a brown sign. The turning to the Loseley estate is then on the left after a few hundred yards.
