The Guildford Pavilion
Everything you’d expect from a classy jazz club – think Ronnie Scott’s, but on your doorstep!
Our regular and most popular venue with a regular calendar of shows throughout the year. Seating is cabaret style, with optional front seat sofas and rear high stools, a licensed bar, and a meal available beforehand delivered freshly cooked from our partner restaurants. Musicians are leading UK jazz artists with jazz styles ranging across the globe from mid-‘50s Blue Note to vibrant contemporary Jazz.
The Stoke Pub
A jazz club in a pub with an emphasis on bluesy, soulful jazz
The rear function room of this traditional town pub in Guildford hosts our jazz nights for occasional performances through the year. Seating is unreserved cabaret style and there’s a bar in the club, with food available from the main pub menu delivered with table service. Musicians are all leading UK jazz artists with an emphasis on bluesy and contemporary, accessible jazz. Expect something a little different!
The Guildford Institute
Afternoon jazz with lunch in a historic setting
A historic building in the heart of Guildford, the Guildford Institute Café boasts a baby grand piano and provides the setting for our monthly shorter afternoon concerts in a relaxed atmosphere, with lunch available beforehand. Music is provided by a jazz trio with piano at it’s heart, featuring both leading UK jazz artists and outstanding local musicians.

Art & Grind Café
Independent art café on Guildford High Street, this year hosting the first Jazz Photography Exhibition as part of the Guildford Jazz and Soul Festival. Pop in for coffee and cake and to browse!

Lunchtime Jazz in this local restaurant on Guildford High Street in the locally-loved Burton’s building. Set across three floors, the layout is set across 3 floors with a café and bar on the ground.

Guildford Heritage Sites
Abbot’s Hospital – a grade 1 listed Jacobean building on Guildford High St. which now provides independent living for 26 residents. Open to the public only as part of the Guildford Heritage Open Days, the courtyard provides the setting for a free event as part of the Festival.

Guildford Bandstand
The Guildford Castle grounds and bandstand hosts the Festival opening event with Vanessa Haynes. This event is ticketed and pre-booking is highly recommended.
Later in the Festival, take a picnic, relax and listen to a free Big Band bandstand concert, which is free entry, no booking required.
Solar Sisters
Guildford's first Zero Waste Shop and plant-based Café at the top of North Street in Guildford Town Centre. Hosts a free lunchtime jazz event featuring talented young local musicians as part of the Guildford Jazz Festival. Pop in for coffee or lunch and stock up on locally sourced food and household products.
